A Stunning Transformation of a Historic Farmhouse

This 100-year-old two-story farmhouse had been extended multiple times over the decades, but none of the previous additions had been thoughtfully planned or designed. The result was a disjointed layout that lacked functionality and energy efficiency.

Remaining in the same family for generations, the current owners were ready to honor the home's heritage while creating a space that reflected their modern lifestyle.

To achieve this, the previous extensions were removed, and the original farmhouse was completely gutted.

Our team designed a new layout that seamlessly blends the charm of the old with the functionality of the new. The open-plan living area was carefully positioned to maximise the stunning sea views to the rear, creating a bright, inviting space that flows effortlessly from the original structure to the new addition.

This project is a testament to how thoughtful design can preserve a home’s history while elevating it to meet the needs of future generations.
